Bubble Prints

STEP ONE Trim a piece of bubble wrap to be roughly the same size as a sturdy piece of plain paper.

STEP TWO Lay bubble wrap (bubble side up) on top of scrap paper or newspaper. Set out a few colors and paint directly on the bubble wrap. Paint each circle a different color, make patterns and shapes, or blend colors on the bubbles.

STEP THREE When the painting is complete, place a sturdy piece of plain paper on top of the bubble wrap and press firmly. Try not to let the paper slide around in order to get a clear print.

TIPS Finished art can be hung up, used as wrapping paper, place mats, or folded into greeting cards. Other household items such as the bottom of an egg carton, cut up sponges and the inside of bubble mailers will also make interesting prints.
