Clay Bake Shapes

STEP ONE Stir 1 cup salt into 1½ cups warm water. Let cool. For colored dough, add food coloring to the salt and water mixture. Add 4 cups flour and knead for 8-10 minutes.

STEP TWO Create shapes (no thicker than 2”) and bake at 325° F for 30 minutes to 1 hour (until all the moisture is gone).

STEP THREE Paint creations when cool. You can also seal the completed work with a non-toxic, water-based sealer.

TIPS: Make beads by making donut shapes. Use cookie cutters to make other fun shapes. A straw is a great tool to make a round hole in anything you want to put a string through.
