Mix It Up

This can be done as an individual craft with one hand at a time, or can be done with dad’s, mom’s or multiple hands working together to create a bouquet.

STEP 1 Print out our downloadable template and find a smooth, hard surface area to work on.

STEP 2 Cover the work area with old newspapers and wear an apron or old clothes you don’t mind getting messy.

STEP 3 Pour paint onto a plastic plate. Take the sponge, and paint your child’s hand from the bottom all the way to their fingertips. Be sure not to use too much so flowers don’t run together.

STEP 4 Press painted hands on the template, with fingers spread apart like flower petals. Pause for just a second then lift your hands gently to reveal your hand painted flowers! Allow to dry.

STEP 5 Repeat steps 3-4 until you have picture-perfect petals. Be sure to wash hands in between each new color.
