Mrs. Thelma A. Meyer is a real person with a real passion for keeping things neat and tidy. She is the inspiration behind Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day–household cleaners that work like the dickens but smell like nice, like a breath of fresh air. Thelma, an avid gardener, wouldn’t have it any other way.
With scents that are inspired by a Midwest backyard garden, and products that are chock-full of plant-derived ingredients and essential oils, we’re continuously channeling Thelma’s passion for the environment. As a mother of nine, she was no-nonsense, and had a sensible approach to living a healthy and balanced life. It’s this balance that we hope to achieve with the products we make. Thelma believes in a happy medium between perfectionism and a joyful, “lived in” home. Ask Thelma and she’ll tell you that cleaning is something that just has to get done, so there’s more time to enjoy family and friends. So if you can make cleaning more pleasant, well, why wouldn’t you?
I just want to say, I am a huge fan of all of your products! I love everything from the scents to their hard-working cleaning power! Oh, and who couldn’t love your adorable, uncluttered, easy to understand packaging? As someone who shudders at the images of lab-coats and artificial/harsh chemicals being passed around by people in rubber gloves like toxic waste, I find it incredibly relieving to know I don’t have to worry about those sorts of things when buying from y’all. And no animal testing, either! I am SO pleased with that!!
I was just sitting here wishing there were more Mrs. Meyer’s products available for cleaning not just my home, but myself! Your geranium scent is probably one of my favorites. It puts a smile on my face with every whiff, and I would just love to have some shampoo or conditioner, or even lotion in that scent (or any, really)!
Thank you so much for all that you have done. After reading about Thelma and watching the Behind-The-Scenes Tour video, I feel even more happy to be contributing to such a wonderful company whose mission I really believe in.

I love using your products. Please don’t skip over the whole Central Valley just because of agriculture. We too have organic Farmers markets, people who work to keep sustainable practices a reality in their lives. And there are lots of customers. Please consider stocking your products in Fresno/Tulare/Kings Counties.
Every woman who has been to my house to meet and eat has asked me where to buy Mrs. Meyer’s products after she has been in my kitchen. My daughter lives in Berkeley and gives them to me as gifts. Stop by here–we have lots of small towns and neighborhoods where people routinely sell their fruits and veggies, even all the way from the coast. Thanks for the wonderful products!!
